The FIP Promises Tour is set for a massive weekend of international competition, showcasing the rising stars of padel across four different countries. Young athletes will compete in various age categories in Portugal, Germany, South Africa, and Lebanon, highlighting the global growth of the sport among the next generation.
A Global Weekend of NextGen Padel
The upcoming weekend features four distinct stops on the FIP circuit, each with its own unique draw structure and competitive field. Here is the breakdown of the action taking place across these four locations:
- FIP Promises Caldas da Rainha (Portugal): This event features a comprehensive schedule with eight total draws covering Under 12, 14, 16, and 18 categories for both boys and girls. The Under 18 boys' division is particularly competitive, headlined by the pairings of Leon Ortega Ibanez with Leon David Ruiz Shannon, and Vicente Soto Herrera with Sebastian Ferrer Reyes.
- FIP Promises Paderborn (Germany): Focusing on the boys' side, this tournament hosts three draws: Under 14, 16, and 18. While the local German talent is looking to sweep all three titles, they face stiff international competition. Notably, the Under 16 category features the cross-continental duo of Argentina’s Vitto Benvenuto and the United States’ Santiago Costantini, who are looking to challenge the home favorites.
- FIP Promises Centurion III (South Africa): Similar to the Portuguese event, this stop includes eight draws across Under 12, 14, 16, and 18 age groups for both boys and girls. The Under 18 boys' draw is led by top seeds Joshua Greyling and Muhammed Dayyan Chand. They are closely pursued by other strong contenders, including the teams of Zeke Roulstone and Morne Liebenberg, as well as Mikaeel Dada and Muhammad Dasoo.
- FIP Promises United Petroneum Lebanon: Hosted at the 'Padel House' venue, this event features five draws in total. This includes boys' competition across the Under 12, 14, 16, and 18 categories, along with an Under 12 girls' draw. The local Lebanese talent is well-represented in the Under 18 boys' category, featuring pairs such as Adam Abdul Hay and Mohamas Bahid, Jabado Ghazi and Marc Stephan, and Yann Takla and Elisa Fadel.
These tournaments serve as a vital platform for young players to gain international experience and test their skills against peers from around the world. As the FIP Promises Tour continues to expand, these four stops demonstrate the increasing depth of talent in the youth padel circuit.
