The International Padel Federation (FIP) has officially opened the application window for individual promoters to host sanctioned events as part of the 2027 International Competition Calendar. This initiative invites organizers to contribute to the global growth of padel, particularly in emerging markets, by managing tournaments across three primary circuits.
Available FIP Competition Circuits
Individual promoters are eligible to apply for hosting rights within the following three official FIP categories:
- CUPRA FIP Tour: The premier circuit for professional and competitive padel, designed to provide high-level international competition.
- FIP Promises: A circuit specifically focused on the development of younger players, fostering the next generation of talent within the sport.
- FIP Beyond: A category dedicated to expanding the reach of padel into new territories and ensuring a diverse, global competition footprint.
To begin the application process, interested parties must send an email to [email protected] to request the official application form and a detailed breakdown of the requirements for each specific tour. FIP emphasizes that while this window is open to individual promoters, the process remains collaborative and regulated.
A critical requirement for any promoter operating within a country that already has a FIP-affiliated National Federation is to secure prior written approval from that body. FIP has stated clearly that it will not process or accept any event requests from individual promoters that lack the formal consent of their respective National Federation. This policy ensures that all events remain aligned with local governance and the broader strategic goals of the federation.
Once submitted, all applications will undergo a rigorous review by the FIP Competition Department. This department will coordinate directly with both the selected promoters and the relevant National Federations to ensure that all proposed events meet international standards. The ultimate goal of this vetting process is to create a balanced, sustainable, and high-quality global calendar that supports players of all ages and skill levels across every continent.
This move follows an exclusive priority period previously granted to FIP-affiliated National Federations, who retain the right to continue submitting their own requests for the 2027 season. By opening these doors to individual organizers, FIP aims to accelerate the sport’s expansion and build a more inclusive, structured ecosystem for the future of padel.
