Tawas Veterans Park, located at 608 West Lake Street along the Tawas River, is an outdoor facility that offers a non-motorized watercraft launch, allowing visitors to paddle in the Tawas River. The park features a boardwalk along the river for fishing and access to launch a canoe or kayak, as well as kayak rental lockers installed in 2024. While the park does not appear to offer specific programs like leagues, lessons, or tournaments for activities such as pickleball, it does provide a space for community events and services, including Memorial Day and National POW/MIA Day ceremonies. The park's amenities include memorial benches, a "Walk of Honor" with personalized brick pavers, and the Iosco County Veterans Recognition Plaza, which honors the men and women who entered the service from Iosco County.
