Play Padel Group is set to expand its footprint in the UK with the launch of its second facility at the Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield, scheduled to open at the end of October. This new venue builds on the success of the company's first location at Abbeydale Sports Club and features a high-profile backing group that includes England Test cricket captain Joe Root, Olympic champion Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, and professional footballer Cameron Dawson.
Facility Features and Membership Details
The upcoming Meadowhall location is designed to be a comprehensive hub for the sport, offering a variety of amenities to cater to both casual players and competitive athletes. The new site will include the following features and offerings:
- Competition-grade indoor courts: The facility will house eight courts in total, consisting of seven doubles courts and one singles court.
- Coaching services: Professional instruction will be available to players of all skill levels starting from the very first day of operation.
- Tournament schedule: The club plans to host regular competitive events to engage the local padel community.
- On-site amenities: Players will have access to a cafe, a bar, a dedicated warm-up gym, and changing room facilities.
- Founding Memberships: The group is releasing 100 exclusive memberships priced at £99 for a 12-month period. These memberships provide a 20% discount on all court bookings and extend the advance booking window from 14 days to 21 days.
