The International Padel Federation (FIP) has officially overhauled its website, introducing a comprehensive suite of data and analysis tools designed to provide fans and analysts with deeper insights into professional padel. By integrating advanced statistics and revamped player profiles, the platform now offers a granular look at the performance, history, and rankings of the sport's top athletes.
New Player Profile Structure
The updated player profiles are now organized into five distinct sections, ensuring that users can easily navigate personal and professional data. Here is the breakdown of the new profile architecture:
- Overview: This section serves as the hub for personal and sporting details. It includes key performance statistics categorized by tour, allowing users to toggle between Premier Padel and the CUPRA FIP Tour to see specific activity and partner history. It also incorporates data for players competing in the FIP Promises Tour and FIP Beyond.
- Activity: This area provides a detailed look at a player’s competitive career. Users can filter tournament history by year, circuit, category, and court type to view a complete record of titles won and finals reached.
- Statistics: This section offers a high-level summary of general performance metrics, organized systematically by circuit and year.
- Ranking: This feature combines current standing—including points and reference weeks—with a historical chart. Users can utilize filters to visualize how a player’s points and position have shifted over time, with the option to view the data in a detailed weekly table format.
- Head to Head: Designed for comparative analysis, this section allows users to pit two players or two pairs against one another. It displays win-loss records, success rates, and title counts, while providing a comprehensive table that lists every previous meeting, including the specific tournament, date, round, and final result.
Beyond individual profiles, the FIP has significantly expanded its historical statistics section. Developed in collaboration with official technology supplier Crionet and software house Boongaweb, these enhancements allow for deep-dive research into tournament history. The expanded section now features dedicated areas for Titles and Finals, Players Overall Titles, and CUPRA FIP Tour Titles, enabling users to conduct targeted searches on both individual athletes and established pairings.
