The FIP Promises Tour is set for a massive weekend of international competition, with young padel athletes converging on four global locations to showcase their rising talent. From record-breaking registration numbers in Indonesia to high-stakes draws in Spain, Denmark, and the UAE, the next generation of professional padel is taking center stage.
A Global Weekend of NextGen Padel
While the FIP Promises West Java in Bandung, Indonesia, has made headlines for setting an Asian record with 191 registered pairs, the action is equally intense across three other key locations. Here is the breakdown of the competition across the remaining FIP Promises host cities:
- FIP Promises León (Spain): This event features a comprehensive schedule with eight total draws, split evenly between boys and girls across the Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18 categories. In the boys' Under 18 division, the draw is led by Samu Rivas and Nicolas Aguirre Sanchez; Rivas enters the tournament with significant momentum, having already secured victories at FIP Bronze events in both Helsingborg and Alicante earlier this year. The girls' Under 16 category is headlined by the Spanish duo Marina Herrera Serrano and Samantha Fernandez Call.
- FIP Promises Familien Hede Nielsens Fond (Taastrup, Denmark): This European stop includes four boys' draws (Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18) and three girls' draws (Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18). The boys' Under 18 category is led by the Spanish pair Daniel Beneyto Sanchez and Leon David Ruiz Shannon, who face stiff competition from challengers Daan Jans and Junior Brydolf. The girls' Under 18 competition will feature a showdown between two Danish pairs: Ella Elmkjaer-Vestergaard paired with Filikka Rosendahl Skalkam, and Cecilie Haslund paired with Madeleine Dehn Christoffersen.
- FIP Promises Damac Dubai II (United Arab Emirates): This tournament focuses exclusively on the boys' categories, hosting draws for the Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18 age groups. The Under 18 category features Kazakhstan’s Arnur Tursynkhan and Islam Duissengazin as the top seeds, followed by the pairs of Mohamed El-Hamamy and Hassan Adel Waly, and Ali Abdulla and Fahad Alhooli. Additionally, in the Under 16 category, Kuwaiti players Yaqoub Zainal and Sayed Hashem Almazeedi enter the event as the clear favorites to take home the title.
These events underscore the rapid expansion of the FIP Promises circuit, providing essential competitive experience for youth players as they look to transition into the professional ranks of the CUPRA FIP Tour.
