The FIP Promises Tour is officially back in action this August, showcasing the next generation of padel talent through three simultaneous international events. Young athletes are currently competing across South Africa, Spain, and Italy, with each tournament featuring multiple age-bracket draws ranging from Under 12 to Under 18.
August FIP Promises Tour Highlights
The August schedule is defined by three major tournaments, each highlighting different regional stars and international contenders:
- Centurion, South Africa: Hosted at the Raslouw Corner Padel Club, this event features eight total draws. Key participants include Imaan Valli and Basma Moola, who are top seeds in the Girls Under 16 category and are also competing in the Under 18 bracket. On the boys' side, Joshua Greyling is aiming for another Under 18 title alongside partner Finlay Harry Ferguson, while Muhammed Dayyan Chand—a previous winner—is competing with Muhammad Dasoo.
- El Prat de Llobregat, Spain: Taking place at Padel Barcelona, this stop has attracted a massive field of 150 pairs. The Boys Under 18 draw is headlined by Javier Bolumar Orti and Izan Ranera Pedrero. In the Girls Under 18 category, Paula Gil Aguilar and Daniela Valiente Escric are the top-seeded pair. Additionally, the Boys Under 12 draw features Paul Rolandi Porcel and Tello Buitron Olcin, who enter the competition following a recent victory in Paris.
- Marina di Ravenna, Italy: Known as the FIP Promises Heroe’s, this tournament features seven draws and begins its main competition on Friday, August 7. The Boys Under 18 draw is led by Gabriele Laurino and Stefano Indomenico, both of whom were members of the Italian team that secured bronze at the FIP Junior Euro Padel Cup. The Girls Under 18 draw is topped by Spain's Vega Cano Ortin and Maria Martinez Perez. Other notable entries include the Swiss brothers Nathan and Benjamin Filieri in the Boys Under 16 draw, and a competitive Girls Under 16 field featuring Britain’s Elizabeth Vellacott and Rosie Allen facing off against Italy’s Vittoria Conti and Costanza Vanni.
These events serve as a critical platform for NextGen players to gain international experience and climb the rankings. With the tournaments running through the weekend, the FIP Promises Tour continues to solidify its role as the premier circuit for developing the future stars of the professional padel world.
