The FIP Promises Tour recently concluded a landmark event in Bali, Indonesia, which saw a record-breaking 138 pairs compete at the Holywings Padel Club. This historic turnout highlights the rapid growth of padel across Asia and the increasing engagement of young athletes from around the globe.
Tournament Results and Champions
The event featured eight distinct draws spanning Under 12, 14, 16, and 18 categories for both boys and girls. Participants traveled from diverse nations, including Italy, France, the Netherlands, Egypt, and Kazakhstan, to compete. The standout performer was Indonesian star Ratu Athena Putri, who secured a double victory in the Under 16 and Under 18 girls' divisions, cementing her position as the top-ranked player in both categories on the Asian FIP Promises circuit.
The full list of champions from the Bali stage is as follows:
- Under 12 Girls: Zara Settimi and Ardelia Bellaluna Syahputri claimed the title in the youngest girls' division.
- Under 14 Girls: Calia De Heyn and Namu Steenbakkers emerged victorious in their age group.
- Under 16 Girls: Johanna Nesya Rosejaya and Ratu Athena Putri took the top spot after a dominant 6-2, 6-0 final performance.
- Under 18 Girls: Kadek Nandini Oktavia Nandin and Ratu Athena Putri secured the win in a tight 6-4, 7-6 match.
- Under 12 Boys: Rakha Rezqiano Simanjuntak and Oziel Kurnia Alfarizqi finished as the winners of their category.
- Under 14 Boys: Alvaro Gibra Hazell and Oliver Nathan Darmawan took home the gold.
- Under 16 Boys: Tursynkhan Arnur and Islam Duissengazin claimed the title after a strong showing throughout the tournament.
- Under 18 Boys: Bages Putrajati and Rafael Jose Soesilo won a dramatic final, clinching the match on the final point of a super tie-break (4-6, 7-6, 11-9) against Arnur and Duissengazin.
This event surpassed the previous record of 113 pairs set at the FIP Promises Jakarta tournament, signaling a bright future for the next generation of padel talent in the region.
