Italian padel stars Giulia Sussarello and Emily Stellato have secured another major victory, winning the FIP Bronze Qnb Cup in Antalya, Turkey, just ahead of their upcoming appearance at the FIP World Cup in Doha. The duo’s dominant performance throughout the tournament highlights their strong form as they prepare to represent Italy on the global stage.
Tournament Results and Key Performances
The Antalya event saw impressive displays of consistency from both the women's and men's champions. Below are the key takeaways from the tournament results:
- The Women's Champions: Giulia Sussarello and Emily Stellato claimed the title without dropping a single set during the entire competition. Their path to victory included a 6-2, 6-2 win over Xenia Clasca Vidiella and Alise Cernecka in the semi-finals, followed by a 7-5, 6-1 victory against Nika Zluzhiteleva and Ana Varo in the final.
- Sussarello and Stellato’s 2026 Campaign: This win marks the pair's fourth title on the CUPRA FIP Tour this year. Their previous successes include victories at FIP Bronze events in Bratislava, Marnes, and Ljubljana.
- The Men's Champions: Second seeds Luis Oliver Artigas and Alberto Garcia emerged victorious in the men's draw. Their final match was a hard-fought three-set battle against Roberto Belmont and Guillem Figuerola, ending in a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 scoreline.
- Artigas and Garcia’s Path: To reach the final, the duo defeated Ignacio Alonso Chillaron and Simone Vaccari in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2. This win adds to a successful season for Luis Oliver Artigas, who also secured a title at the FIP Bronze tournament in Alicante earlier this September.
With the Antalya tournament concluded, the focus for the Italian national team members now shifts entirely to the FIP World Cup 2026 in Qatar, where Sussarello and Stellato will look to carry this momentum into the international competition.
